The correspondence theory of truth can be arranged in such a way as to contain aspects of a “molecular” holism, in which background knowledge is linked but kept distinct from the content of the single proposition. Within this perspective, a proposition can still be a “representation” of a fact, always approximate and renegotiable, which nonetheless highlights the structure of the state of affairs in order to also illuminate the molecular group of states of affairs, of finite number, connected to the fact. Kwestię granic języka i lingwistyki autor rozważa, odwołując się do tzw. pełnej teorii naukowej. W złożonej hierarchiczno-sieciowej strukturze tej teorii można wyróżnić trzy poziomy; bazę filozoficzną, interpretacyjny obraz świata oraz część empiryczną. A następnie skupia uwagę na tej bazie, tj. na założeniach ontologicznych i epistemologiczno-aksjologicznych teorii języka. Language reality and linguistics. The author considers the ąuestion of the boundaries of language and linguistics, referring to the so-called full scientific theory. In the complex hierarchical-network structure of this theory, one can distinguish three levels: the philosophical basis, the theoretical-methodological level, and the empirical part. The article focuses on the ontological and epistemologica/-axiological assumptions of the theory of language. In the meta-theoretical framework, a full scientific theory is a complex hierarchical-network structure which covers three levels: 1) a set of ontological, epistemological-methodological and axiological assumptions (the philosophical basis of a theory); 2) a set of highly abstract theoretical notions and general theorems which compose the image of the world; 3) a set of notions and descriptive theorems which assert something directly about the object being examined (the empirical part).
